Shooting Stars to Light up Sky in December over St. Petersburg

As reported by the staff of the Pulkovo Observatory, in mid-December, just above St. Petersburg, will unfold a fascinating space show, an asteroid stream from the constellation Gemini.

It is assumed that the storm of shooting stars will start around December 7-10 and will continue until December 14, and the best days to observe the storm with the naked eye will be on December 13th or 14th. In the evening, to trace the phenomenon will be best from the north-east of the city, and closer to the morning one can see the shooting stars in the south-western part of the sky.
