Filming of the English series "War and Peace" are being held in St. Petersburg

The British channel BBC is now filming the epic novel Tolstoy, War and Peace, in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The most experienced and well known actor in the series will be Gillian Anderson - Agent Scully Dunn from "The X-Files."

A major role in the series will be performed by young actress Lily James, the role of Andrei Bolkonsky will be played by the British actor James Norton, Pierre Bezukhov will be played by American Paul Arno, and the role of hostess of the grand salons was given to Gillian Anderson.

By the way, the controversial new BBC1 adaptation of War And Peace will also feature an incestuous relationship and sex scenes which are not included in Leo Tolstoy’s original novel.
